There are seasons in life when you may find yourself feeling disconnected, not broken, but stretched, overwhelmed with societal needs (especially in this sociopolitical climate), or unsure of where you fit within your own life. You’ve been showing up for others, meeting expectations, and carrying responsibilities…..but quietly wondering, where am I in all of this?
The Woman Within is an 8-week therapy group designed to create space for you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself as a woman, beyond roles, expectations, and outside pressure.
Dr. Kimberly R. Mayes, LCSW created this 8 week support group with you in mind. This is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been overlooked, postponed, or silenced.
This is a space at Essence Therapy & Wellness Center for women to come home to themselves. Through this 8-week experience, you will begin to peel back the layers of expectation, pressure, and performance, and reconnect with your identity, your voice, and your needs. No matter where you are in your journey, your sense of self deserves care, attention, and space to grow.
This group is not about fixing what is “wrong.” It is about learning yourself again, honestly, gently, and without judgment.
We’re Diving Into:
Explore your identity beyond who you are to others
Increase emotional awareness and learn to express yourself more openly
Develop healthier boundaries that protect your time, energy, and well-being
Reflect on patterns in relationships and how you show up in connection with others
Reconnect with joy, fulfillment, and the parts of yourself that may have been placed on hold
Please Note:
Florida, Georgia, Texas & Virginia clients only
Once you register, the group facilitator will email you group details, intake documents, policies & login information
The group will meet once a week starting 7/16/26
Group sessions will be 1 1/2 hour
Once the group begins, the group will remain closed to new attendees. Attendees who will like to join group sessions after 7/16/26, will be placed on a wait list for the upcoming group session
Group payment is due in full prior to group sessions starting
NO REFUNDS will be issued once group begins on 7/16/26, even if a session is missed

A Superbill can be provided to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, based on your insurance plan/rates
